America's Holocaust:
How does God see Abortion?
As the murder of an innocent human being,
a baby whose life begins at conception.
Psalm 139:13-16a – For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
Jeremiah 1:4-5 – The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Luke 1:41 – When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb…
Luke 2:12 – This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
The same Greek word for “baby” is used in both of these verses, ‘brephos’, “an unborn or a newborn child” (New American Standard Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible). Though at different stages of development, both are human beings whose life has begun.
What is the Christian’s responsibility in a nation where abortion happens legally every day?
To rescue and to defend those who cannot defend themselves…
Psalm 82:3-4 – Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
Proverbs 24:11-12 – Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this,’ does not he who weighs the heart
perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?
Matthew 25:40 – “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 25:45 – “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
*Consider the whole passage of Matthew 25:31-46 in light of the unborn at risk of abortion…
…While sharing the message of repentance and forgiveness through Christ for those who have had an abortion.
1 Peter 3:18a – For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
